The tour of the gorgeous Hôtel de Ville, in some ways the architectural heart of Paris, was a first for us after all these years. We had not been here in Sep. before, so we hadn’t been able to take this tour. And it was amazing! Despite the heat and humidity we managed to see most of the rooms that were open for viewing. An incredible opportunity. For Journées du Patrimoine we joined thousands of others in this very special tour of Le Mairie, Paris’ City Hall, open Sep. 22-23 that year.
We were surrounded by history, conveyed in so many forms, at every step. Amazing and awe-inspiring! If you’re going to be in Paris when it occurs we recommend prioritizing this truly incredible tour.
